Rebecca Deranian has more than a decade of professional experience writing and editing across a diverse set of fields. Before joining TIP Strategies, she worked as a legal writer preparing cases for artists and other professionals of extraordinary ability.
Jessica is a graduate student at UT Austin’s LBJ School, where she is pursuing a Master of Public Affairs with a focus on workforce and economic development policy.
Luke received a bachelor of arts in political science with a specialization in markets and management from Duke University. He worked in the tech industry for several years, then wrote curricula for a small business scaling education platform. In his free time, he enjoys reading, lifting weights, and practicing guitar.
Mishka has over 10 years of experience managing economic development technical assistance and research projects for regions, counties, and municipalities as well as facilitating peer learning opportunities. A native Texan, Katrina earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas. Before joining TIP, she worked in municipal and state government. Outside of work, Katrina enjoys reading, cross stitching, and being outdoors.
Alexis received her Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining TIP, she worked in recovery and resiliency at the EDA, as well as workforce development in the non-profit sector. Alexis enjoys hiking and exploring new food in Austin.
Rachel earned a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Appalachian literature and culture. Before joining TIP, she successfully wrote academic fellowship proposals and nonprofit grants. Rachel enjoys writing in her spare time (she’s a published poet and essayist!) and relaxing with her family.
A Greek-American whose first language is Spanish, John studied geography before earning a master’s degree in urban planning. He returned for a second tour at TIP in 2019, following a run as VP, Strategic Accounts at Atlas Integrated. In his spare time, you’ll most likely find John online at urbanSCALE.com.
