Born in Germany, Jon studied philosophy at the University of Hawaii and the University of Oregon. Prior to joining TIP, he held senior positions in economic development in Oregon, Washington, and Texas, and was a lead investor for the Oregon Technology Corporation. An avid cyclist, he founded the Fat Tire Farm bicycle company.
As a widely recognized strategist with experience in all facets of economic development and travel marketing, Tracye has earned a reputation for creating mutually beneficial partnerships across a broad spectrum of industries.
A childhood in South America inspired Tom to attend University of Texas at Austin’s Institute for Latin American Studies. Before founding TIP Strategies in 1995, he directed the Office of International Business for the Texas Department of Commerce. Tom spends his downtime on his mountain bike or behind the grill.
