Rachel Wise, PhD
Rachel Wise has almost 10 years of experience writing compelling proposals for a wide range of audiences, including academics, foundations, nonprofits, economic development organizations, and municipal governments.
Prior to joining TIP, Rachel earned her PhD in American Literature at the University of Texas at Austin. While completing her dissertation and postdoctoral work, she was awarded several prestigious research fellowships and a visiting scholar position at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Rachel eventually returned to Austin to write grant proposals for a local affordable housing and supportive services nonprofit, Foundation Communities. Over the course of three years, she helped secure financial support from entities such as the US Department of the Treasury’s Capital Magnet Fund and the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. Rachel also enjoys writing in her free time. She is a published poet and essayist.
