Jess Myers
Jess is a recent graduate of UT Austin’s LBJ School, where she earned a Master of Public Affairs with a focus on workforce and economic development policy. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honors and Economics minors from Texas State University. At Texas State, she coordinated award-winning campus-wide civic engagement opportunities, led the women’s political science club and running club, and published multiple long-form research projects, including her Honors thesis on the psychology of work and community connection in the undergraduate research journal, for which she was an editor. With experience in government affairs and state policy during the 2023 and 2025 Texas legislative sessions – and research communications at a national women’s campaign organization and TIP internship in between – she brings strong advocacy, policy analysis, and writing skills, as well as a deep understanding of government dynamics and processes. She is driven to learn and grow in the economic development space and is thrilled to be continuing that journey with TIP Strategies. Jess is also an avid runner and can be found running the west Houston park trails almost daily.
