In March, TIP welcomed the addition of three new staff members. Jennifer Todd and Elizabeth Scott have joined TIP’s field team. They will manage consulting engagements and work directly with clients. Evan Johnston has joined TIP’s research team as an analyst. He will tackle the unique technical challenges faced by our clients in a disruptive economy.

“Jenn, Elizabeth, and Evan emerged as our top candidates after a lengthy and highly selective hiring process,” said TIP president Tracye McDaniel. “I know our clients will be very pleased by the extraordinary talents we’ve added to our already powerful team of economic development leaders.”

Prior to joining TIP, Jennifer Todd was a principal planner with the City of Austin. She has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and has also worked for the District of Columbia and the International Economic Development Council. Her professional interests include placemaking and workforce development. Jenn holds a master’s degree in urban planning and is certified CNU-A by the Congress for the New Urbanism. She is based out of TIP’s home office in Austin.

Elizabeth Scott joins TIP from the Columbia River Economic Development Council (CREDC) in Vancouver, Washington, where she was director of business development. Before CREDC, her career focused on relationship management, primarily in the financial services sector. Elizabeth holds a master’s degree in land use policy and has extensive volunteer and board service experience with several organizations in the Pacific Northwest. She is based out of TIP’s Seattle office.

Before joining TIP, Evan Johnston was a research associate at the University of Texas at Austin’s IC² Institute, where his work focused on entrepreneurial ecosystems, high-tech economies, and labor market polarization. Evan holds degrees in economics, psychology, and mathematics, in addition to certifications in applied statistical modeling, computer sciences, and business foundations. Evan is based out of TIP’s home office in Austin.

We are excited to expand our team with new talent and perspectives. TIP clients will benefit from the experience and skills these three bring to the table. Welcome, Jenn, Elizabeth, and Evan!
