Allison Long Project Coordinator

Allison Long is a proud Nashville native (the real Music City, USA). She specializes in social science and urban planning research. At the University of Texas at Austin she received her Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning, where she specialized in economic development. Her thesis studied local business gentrification in rapidly growing cities.

After graduating, she joined the TIP team as Project Coordinator. At TIP, she wrangles data, researches policy, conducts GIS analysis, and helps prepare reports.

Before joining TIP, she worked as a college counselor and grant writer in Nashville’s non-profit sector for several years. Her work on the ground in low-income communities informs her economic development practice and focus.
